100K COVID-19 vaccines administered in Arizona; Pima County has highest rate

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — More than 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Arizona so far, the Arizona Department of Health Services announced Tuesday.

Most of those doses have been administered in Maricopa County, with more than 60,000 doses administered there.

But by population, Pima County is leading the pack with more than 1,900 doses administered per 100,000 residents. Maricopa County has administered just under 1,400 doses per 100,000 residents.

Overall, the AZDHS says exactly 101,030 doses of the vaccine had been administered, though doses administered in the last 24 hours may not be included in the report.
