TUCSON, Ariz.--The Tucson Police Department brought a lot of joy this Saturday, Dec. 15, with their "Shop with a Cop" event at Target on Prince and Oracle Road.
Every year, the Oro Valley Police Department, the Fraternal Order of Police and volunteers come together to give over 200 children a Christmas shopping spree at Target.
Santa and Mrs. Clause made an appearance at this one, shaking children's hands, giving out hugs and listening to Christmas requests.
This year’s Kids & Cops event is underway, and boy did Tucson represent! It’s just starting, come on down and celebrate with us. We’re at the Super Target 4040 N Oracle. pic.twitter.com/TyxXNdoPfZ

The local children whom are selected to participate in the "Shop with a Cop" event are typically underpriviledged or temporarily displaced.
Be that as it may, the Tucson Police Department looks forward to the event each year.

Please do NOT avoid the area of 4040 N Oracle. There is an abundance of joy at this location. We kindly ask that all Grinches stay away though. #NoahFence#NoneTaken https://t.co/A3mXAXtap6
TPD hopes the event inspires trust in local police and gives children and families a bit of cheer over the holidays.
