A pedestrian was struck by a train on Wednesday afternoon at North Main Avenue and West Fourth Street.
The incident happened at around 3:45 p.m., according to Union Pacific officials. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident did not happen at a crossing, according to UP. The crew of the train was not hurt. UP is working with local authorities to determine what happened.
