Starting July 9, you can go to any Fry's location in Tucson, Green Valley, and Sierra Vista, and donate school supplies for less fortunate children.
The Salvation Army Back to School Backpack SOS (Support Our Students) initiative is an annual event and this year it runs through July 27.
At participating Fry's locations, you can purchase items you wish to donate, and at the check out there will be a collection bin to drop off the materials.
The donations will help a variety of students, some starting in kindergarten all the way up to students in the 12th grade.
Some items needed include:
- Backpacks
- Binders
- Folders
- Pens
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Crayons
- Colored Pencils
- Glue Sticks
- Loose Leaf Paper
- Rulers
- Scissors
- Spiral Notebooks
