Meet Maureen St. Pierre, this week's Ben's Bells Bellee! Katie Kevershan and Amy Collinsworth nominated Maureen for being an inspiration who is dedicated to bettering our community. Maureen is a longtime volunteer for numerous organizations in Tucson. She donates her time weekly to Ben’s Bells as a volunteer in Shop KIND as well as to Daughters of the American Revolution, Dress a Girl, UMC Diamond Children’s, Martha’s Meals, the Care and Justice Committee, and St. Mark the Evangelist’s church. She spends her days doing everything from filling backpacks for locals in need to cuddling babies who are not yet ready to leave the hospital. The breadth of Maureen’s volunteerism is matched only by her sincere devotion to each project she is a part of. You need only ask her about any of the organizations she works with to receive an enthusiastic explanation of the organization’s mission as well as why she feels so grateful to be able to volunteer with them. That is what makes Maureen so special, she approaches volunteering not as a service, but as an opportunity. This mentality is evident in her reliability, tenacity, and infectious joy while volunteering.
