Looking to escape the heat in Tucson, while enjoying an outing with the family? Head to the Arizona Sonora-Desert Museum for Cool Summer Nights.
Every Saturday night this summer from 5-10, the desert comes alive. From learning about different animals to watching the beautiful sunset, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Kat Rumbley, Marketing & Media Specialist at the museum says, “We have live animal presentations in the theatres, where kids are able to see the animals up close and personal.” Additionally, check out Stingray Touch, which allows you to put your hands in a pool and touch the sea creatures.
The museum also has a variety of dining and drinking options, including a sit-down restaurant, Ocotillo Café. Local beer from Barrio Brewery is also available for purchase.
Price of admission is $21.95 for adults, but only $16.95 if you are an Arizona resident. Kids get in for just $8.95. Cool Summer Nights runs until September 1st.
