It's going to be a white Christmas in the old pueblo. Well, sort of!
At La Encantada Shopping Center, you can experience snow (or desert-style snow) during the holiday event, Enchanted Snowfall.
Every Friday and Saturday evening, snow machines are strategically placed in the courtyard, allowing families to experience, what we so rarely get to experience in Tucson.
Anaizza Montano, Assistant Manager at La Encantada says, "I've seen kids not understanding that this is snow. It's desert-style snow, though. But, it's the atmosphere, the ambience. It's just so much fun to see kids and families."
This "snow" is an organic solution that La Encantada likes to call 98 percent magic and 2 percent snow.
Other activities include live music performances, coffee from Peacock Coffee Roasters, and free hot cocoa courtesy of Blanco Tacos + Tequila. With 14 years hosting this event, La Encantada hopes families can come together this season to shop, have fun, relax, and maybe experience a first snowfall!
Enchanted Snowfall runs now until December 23.
