Three of the best Jeopardy champions will face off against each other in primetime starting Tuesday, right here on KGUN 9 in Tucson.
The Jeopardy "Great of All Time" special will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.
It will feature Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer, who just recently won the Tournament of Champions.
They will face off in a series of matches, and the first to win three matches will win $1 million. Each runner up will win $250,000.
“Based on their previous performances, these three are already the ‘greatest,’ but you can’t help wondering: who is the best of the best?” Trebek said.
The schedule is below.
Tuesday, Jan. 7 – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 8 – 7 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 9 – 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 14 – 7 p.m. (If necessary)
Wednesday, Jan. 15 – 7 p.m. (if necessary)
Thursday, Jan. 9 – 7 p.m. (if necessary)
Here's how it works
Because the tournament is an hour instead of the normal half hour, there will be two games per show, and the player with the most money at the end of the two games will win the match.
The tournament will continue until the first player wins three matches.
