The Great Wolf Lodge in Arizona has not opened yet -- hurry up, September! -- but its latest deal will probably make some waves.
On Sunday, Aug, 4, 2019 (that's this Sunday), the indoor water park and resort will be booking rooms for as low as $84 a night for stays between Sept. 2, 2019 and Oct. 31, 2019. They are calling it the "84 degrees sale," which corresponds to the temperature that the indoor water park is held at year-round.
Rooms can be booked on Great Wolf Lodge's website, www.greatwolf.com, or over the phone at 800-641-9653. Make sure to type or mention the promo code, "84DEGREES."
The promotion is available for stays at all of their locations, not just the one opening near Scottsdale, which is scheduled to open on Sept. 27, 2019. It is located near the Loop 101 and Talking Stick Way across from Salt River Fields at Talking Stick Resort.
Of course, there is some fine-print that you need to know about:
- The discounted rate applies to stays on Sundays - Thursday. It is not available for stays on Friday or Saturday.
- There are blackout dates, but Great Wolf Lodge did not provide those specific dates to us.
- It is a one-day deal available to book only on Aug. 4.
- There is a $29.99 resort fee that is charged per room per night.
Normal rates for a standard room start at $179.99. The resort fee is $29.99 per room per night, which includes wireless internet, self-parking, fitness center, life jackets, in-room coffee, and wolf ears for kids 12 and younger, a spokesperson confirmed to ABC15.
According to the resort's website, they have also extended their grand-opening special where guests can save up to 30% on one-night stays, 40% on two-night stays, and up to 50% on three-nights or longer using the code, "Grand." For that promotion, stays must be booked by Sept. 1, 2019, for stays between Sept. 17, 2019, and March 5, 2020.
When it opens, the Scottsdale-area water park and resort will have 350 rooms and an 85,000-square-foot indoor water park with tube slides, body slides, raft rides, wave pool, outdoor pool, and a water play structure.

There will also be the "Great Wolf Adventure Park," an indoor attraction with bowling, rock climbing, ropes course, miniature golf, and arcade; and a couple of restaurants and snack shops, including the state's only Ben & Jerry's.
Fun fact: while you have to be a resort guest to use the water park, you do not need to stay at the resort to visit Ben & Jerry's, Dunkin, or any of its restaurants. Those are open to the public.
