Denelle Veselik is a seasoned broadcast journalist who embarked on her career in 2014. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the prestigious Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism. Denelle's drive for journalism stems from her desire to effect positive change in her community. Over the years, she has conducted numerous interviews and covered a wide array of stories, ranging from interviewing top political leaders and covering presidential visits to in-depth investigations into social injustices.
Denelle's reporting has taken her to various locations, including the border, where she has had the privilege of bringing stories directly into people's living rooms and shedding light on historical events. Her innate curiosity and dedication to uncovering and spotlighting important issues have been the driving force behind her impactful journalism.
Denelle's stories have not only informed the public but also prompted significant changes. Her work has led to reforms in various areas, demonstrating the power of journalism to drive positive societal change.
In today's rapidly evolving media landscape, Denelle believes that journalists with integrity and a commitment to ethics are more essential than ever. Outside of her professional pursuits, she loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, and cherishing moments with her family.

After a decade on-air, Denelle wanted to step away from the desk and further pursue coaching and mentoring journalists.
Now she's KGUN 9's Executive Reporter leading Southern Arizona's largest reporting team in our neighborhood news initiative.
