TUCSON, Ariz. - In separate incidents, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested two men who had been convicted of crimes and deported before trying to sneak across the border.
On Sunday morning, Three Points Station agents arrested 35-year-old Honduran Santos Avila Rosales near Sasabe. He was convicted of child molestation in Louisiana in 2011.
On Sunday evening, Casa Grande Station agents arrested 46-uear-old Mexican Arturo Benjamin Avila Torres south of Vamori. He was convicted in California for assault with a firearm in 1993 and lascivious acts with a minor under age 14 in 1998.
Both suspects face felony immigration charges.
