More than 200 migrants surrender near Sasabe

TUCSON, Ariz. - More than 200 migrants surrendered to the U.S. Border Patrol near Sasabe over a five-hour period Saturday night.

According to the agency, more than 129 of the people were in the U.S. illegally. They hailed from Mexico, Guatemala, El Savador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Migrants in the group ranged from six months to 56 years old.

The migrants consisted of five separate groups. The Border Patrol says migrants have shifted travel patterns from areas west of Lukeville to the Sasabe area.
