TUCSON (KGUN9-TV/KNXV) - The Marana Police Department has confirmed to KGUN9 the man involved in a Phoenix chase is the same man they were searching for in connection with a hit-and-run collision.

On March 19, 31-year-old Joshua Michael Monigold was involved in a wreck at Twin Peaks and Tangerine. The other driver suffered serious injuries.

Today, a chaotic pursuit through Phoenix ended after Monigold rolled his vehicle on Interstate 10 south of the Phoenix.

KGUN9 sister station's Air15 showed the driver of the white pickup truck speeding through intersections in Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler and striking several other vehicles during the Thursday afternoon chase. The man was also seen speeding along US 60 and Loop 101.

Authorities said the suspect was involved in an aggravated assault but did not immediately have any further information.

The pursuit ended up heading eastbound on Interstate 10 south of Phoenix. Aerial footage showed the truck on its side blocking westbound lanes as of 5:40 p.m.
