KINGMAN, Ariz. — Authorities say a woman is dead and a man injured after the crash of a small plane in northwestern Arizona.
Mohave County Sheriff’s officials say the plane went down in Kingman shortly before noon Sunday.
They say a man told a citizen that he was involved in an airplane crash about 100 yards from the sheriff’s parks ranger station and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
Authorities say the woman was declared dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials say the man was taken to a Kingman hospital in serious condition.
The names of the dead woman and injured man haven’t been released yet.
Sheriff’s officials say the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been notified about the crash and will be investigating it.
