The Peña Fire is burning near Nogales, south of Peña Blanca Lake.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, the Peña Wildfire is 70 percent contained.
The fire started in Mexico and burned 300 acres on the US side of the border.
Higher humidity overnight helped stop the fire's spread.
The incident commander will do a reconnaissance flight today to further assess the status of the fire.
The fire falls within the area under a red flag warning until 7 p.m. Winds were predicted to be 15-30 mph with gusts to 40. There is potential for the fire to spread quickly.
The fire is type 1 team ordered with multiple engines, crews, aircraft and various other personnel.
Eighty personnel are trying to control the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
