TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) When a child dies it can shake the community. That's why a woman planned a candlelight vigil for a 6-month-old girl who died in February.
A Facebook group was created called "Justice for baby Wyllow," and it now has hundreds of members.
"I knew baby Wyllow, and I felt that she deserves this," said Torrie Weinmaster. "She deserves to feel the love."
Weinmaster planned the vigil in downtown Tucson, and says she worked with the child's mother and met Wyllow a handful of times.
"Her smile was amazing, and she was just so cuddly," Weinmaster said. "She just melted in my arms."
While the investigation continues, Weinmaster says she wants to show Wyllow love.
"It hurts," Weinmaster said. "It hurts because she didn't deserve this."
About 20 people attended the vigil Thursday. It was held in front of the downtown library at 101 N. Stone.
