Rose Canyon Lake is closed temporarily because of a dangerous bear in the area.
According to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the bear was sighted early Sunday morning at 5:30 a.m. and again around 10:00 a.m.
Mark Hart with the Game and Fish Department says that campers came face to face with the bear as it attempted to enter their trailer.
The bear is described as having dark brown fur and estimated to be at least 200 pounds.
The lake and campgrounds will be closed until further notice.
