Tucson police are investigating two westside shootings, one in which a man died.
Both took place Thursday evening. One was in the 1500 block of West Calle Guadalajara and the other was in the 1700 block of West 36th Street. Uriel Galvez-Galvez, 30, died of gunshot injuries in the latter shooting, and police are investigating the death as a homicide.
At the Guadalajara incident, one person was injured and hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The call for the 36th Street incident came in at 4:45 p.m.
While one victim was being moved to the hospital, he told officers he had been in a Dodge Ram truck with another man. They picked up a man in the area, and the passenger shot both of them. The victim escaped the truck and hid while the shooter left in the truck with Galvez-Galvez, who was later found dead.
Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his late 20s who is 5-foot-11 and weighs between 170 and 180 pounds with multiple arm tattoos. He was wearing a white shirt and tan pants.
Those with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
