The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a robber from earlier in July.

On July 3 at 2 p.m. deputies responded to the Walmart located at 2823 West Valencia Road for the report of a theft.

As deputies arrived they learned a man had placed items into a basket attached to the front of a gray scooter and tried to leave the store without paying for the items.

When a Walmart employee tried to stop him from leaving the store, he pinned her against the wall with a scooter.

The employee was able to free herself from the scooter with the help of two bystanders.

The suspect then fled the store and proceeded westbound on Valencia Road toward Cardinal Avenue.

PCSD says the suspect is described as a Caucasian man with brown hair and a mustache.

He is described as being in his late 40's to early 50's.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red University of Arizona baseball hat, a black v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans and running shoes.

He was driving a gray scooter and carrying crutches.

PCSD says the suspect is also wanted in connection with a theft on July 2 at the same store.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
