TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A major toy shortage could stop a local Christmas tradition from happening.
Ramon's Miracle on 31st Street has been happening in Tucson for 44 years but this year, they have yet to collect enough toys to give to nearly 10,000 children.
Organizer Ramon Gonzales said "If we cannot acquire the necessary amount of toys by tomorrow, we will not be able to meet our yearly goal. In the past 44 years we have not ever turned away a child due to a toy shortage and God willing, we will not have to due it this year."
The event is scheduled to happen on Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and all donations can be dropped off at the AVA Amphitheatre.
