A 68-year-old man and his cat died in a northwest side mobile home fire early Friday morning.
According to Andy Skaggs of Tucson Fire, the blaze was in the 3400 block of North Romero.
The blaze started at 4 a.m. and there were no working smoke alarms in the home.
The fire originated from the back bedroom. Ten units and 25 firefighters responded to the scene. One of the firefighters was hospitalized.
The cause is under investigation.
