A large wildfire is burning near Redington Pass according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
According to Battalion Chief John Walka with Rural/Metro Fire the fire started at milepost 6 on Redington Road. It's burning around 75 acres.
Walka says the fire is slow moving but is being fueled by light winds. There are no structures in danger.
The fire is burning on U.S. Forest Service property, Walka said, and Rural Metro will help out until more crews arrive.
