Tucson Fire crews extinguished a midtown garage blaze Thursday morning.
According to the department, the fire started at 10:46 a.m. in the 4600 block of East 10th Street. Crews had it under control within 20 minutes.
A resident was sleeping at home when one of the dogs started barking due to smoke in the house. The resident and dog both made it out safely, and another dog was safe in the backyard.
The Red Cross helped is family of three who lives at the home find shelter.
