Border Patrol agents in Nogales found a 37-year-old Mexican woman dangling from the international border fence Saturday abandoned by smugglers.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, officers witnessed two smugglers lowering the woman into the United States from Mexico using a harness and rope.
When the agents approached, the woman tried to climb back over the fence into Mexico, but the smugglers left her dangling.
The woman was suspended 15 feet above the ground. Nogales Fire Department was called and helped to get her down. She was not injured and is being processed for immigration violations.
