Border Patrol arrested two women at the Sonoita Border Patrol Station Monday.
According to CBP, agents stopped a 48-year-old female driver, when the Border Patrol dog was alerted to an odor it was trained to detect.
Agents opened the vehicle's trunk and discovered a Mexican woman sitting inside.
Both women were arrested. The driver is facing drug smuggling charges. The driver is facing human-smuggling charges, while the Mexican national is being charged with immigration violations.
