BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Authorities say one person has died in a plane crash at Buckeye's Municipal Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews responded to the airport just before 2 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting an aircraft down.
Police said it is unclear if the craft was taking off or landing when it went down.
The victim is not believed to be the owner of the aircraft.
Federal Aviation Administration Lynn Lunberg said the pilot was the only person aboard the single-engine Evolution REVO light sport aircraft.
