Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department are investigating after a missing man was found dead in a wash in Green Valley.
Detectives have identified the man as 37-year-old William Kenneth Darrow.
Deputy Cody Gress, a spokesman for the department, says a jogger noticed a man's body in a wash near North Abrego Drive and East El Valle just before 4:30 p.m.
Deputies responded to the area and confirmed that Darrow was dead.
From further investigation, it was found that Darrow was listed as a missing person from his home in Green Valley on December 1.
Gress says on November 25 Darrow's mother had requested deputies from the Green Valley District to conduct a welfare check on him as she had not heard from him in two days.
When deputies arrived at his residence in the 300 block of South Abrego Drive in Green Valley they noticed his door was open but there was no sign of him at the home.
On December 1 Darrow's mother still had not heard from him and requested he be listed as a missing person.
Deputies say initial indications show that Darrow's death may be accidental; however the investigation is ongoing pending an autopsy.
