Pima County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in Arivaca.
Deputies say that at 7:10 p.m. July 31, 71-year-old Michael Goodwin shot an undocumented immigrant outside his home in the 13000 block of West Arivaca Road.
A confrontation near Goodwin's carport door led to the shooting. Goodwin allegedly shot the man as he ran from the home.
The victim was airlifted to the hospital.
Goodwin faces charges of two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked and released on his own recognizance, pending future court appearances.
