What is better than a camping or fishing trip? From boating to grilling to animal watching, here are 9 local camping and fishing spots to enjoy with the family. 

Patagonia Lake State Park
Patagonia Lake State Park is surrounded by opportunities with the family. Enjoy hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and water activities including boating, fishing, and swimming. Fishing licenses can be purchased at the concession in the park. A valid Arizona fishing license is required for anglers 10 years and older. Campsite and RV reservations are available online

Catalina State Park
There are plenty of hiking trails at Catalina State Park. Popular activities include hiking, horseback riding, and bicycling. Leashed dogs are welcome on all trails. Tent and RV camping is also available in 120 electric and water sites.

Mt. Lemmon
Located in the Santa Catalina Mountains, Mt. Lemmon is a great place to escape the heat. Recreational amenities located on the mountain include hiking, camping, fishing, and sledding in the winter. These businesses also offer rental cabin accommodations.

Kennedy Lake
Boating and fishing is very popular at Kennedy Lake. Other amenities include a swimming pool and playground for the kiddos.

Sahuarita Lake Park
This 15 acre park has several picnic tables and benches for a picnic. Enjoyfishing and boating on this lake, as well. Keep in mind, boating is only permitted between sunrise and sunset, and swimming is not allowed.

Silverbell Lake
Silverbell Lake, located at Christopher Columbus Park allows boating, canoeing, and fishing. Plus, dog lovers rejoice! Silverbell Lake also has its own dog park.

Kartchner Caverns State Park
There is so much to do at Kartchner Caverns State Park. From its popular cave tours to a variety of hiking trails, you can stay busy with the family. If you are interested in staying at the park and camping, you can make reservations online.

Colossal Cave Mountain Park
This 2,400 acre park includes Colossal Cave tours, Western trail rides, picnicking, and camping. Enjoy the park's gift shop and cafe, too! This is a great way to spend the weekend with the family.
